On December 1, Sichuan Technology and Business University and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand held an international cooperation symposium at the Meishan Campus. The two sides reached a series of consensus on faculty exchange, joint research, virtual teaching offices, student exchange programs, and short-term study tours. This marks a key step toward substantive cooperation and will build a growth platform for Chinese and Thai students integrating professional learning and cross-cultural practice.

Complementary Strengths and Industry-Education Integration for International Innovation.At the symposium, Professor Chen Chunfa, Vice President of our university, systematically introduced the university’s educational philosophy, characteristics, discipline construction, industry-education integration, and international education. He highlighted that the university’s majors closely align with Sichuan’s key industrial clusters including digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, modern services, and cultural creativity. Remarkable achievements have been made in e-commerce for rural revitalization, cultural inheritance (such as Sansu Culture promotion and Qingshen Bamboo Weaving popularization), and serving local development.

The Thai side showed strong interest. As a leading public polytechnic university in Thailand, RMUTT positions itself as an “innovative university” and performs strongly in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. Its Faculty of Humanities boasts distinctive strengths in tourism management, hotel management, aviation services, and other fields, with a well-established cooperative education and international internship system. The two universities share a highly compatible philosophy on applied talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for cooperation.

Joint Blueprint Focusing on Faculty-Student Exchange and Co-Construction of Courses.

“We look forward to focusing on advantageous disciplines with RMUTT and building a long-term mechanism to promote students’ professional competence and cross-cultural practice ability through complementary professional resources,” said Vice President Chen Chunfa during the talks.
Vice President Krischonme Bhumkittipich of RMUTT responded: “We hope to take this symposium as a starting point to establish a substantive cooperation framework with Sichuan Technology and Business University in joint student training, faculty exchange, co-construction and sharing of courses, and other fields.” Both sides agreed to promptly promote the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and pragmatically implement all cooperation intentions.

After the talks, Vice President Krischonme Bhumkittipich and his entourage visited the Science and Innovation Education Center, Business Experiment Building, and other teaching and training venues. The guests highly praised the university’s advanced facilities and beautiful campus environment. This cooperation will not only help both universities enhance their international level and talent training quality, but also inject new vitality into deepening education and people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand.
