On November 1–2, the 3rd China-ROK Education Forum (China-ROK University Presidents Forum) opened in Tai’an. Hosted by the China Association for Non-Government Education, co-organized by the 21st Century Korea-China Exchange Association, and undertaken by Taishan University of Science and Technology, the forum gathered distinguished guests including:Liu Lin, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, National Supervisor, and President of the China Association for Non-Government Education;Kim Han-gyu, President of the 21st Century Korea-China Exchange Association and former Minister of the Republic of Korea;Wang Luxin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, former Education Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the ROK, and former Consul-General in Jeju;Zhang Zhigang, Member of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Vice Director of the Provincial Department of Education.Vice President Chen Chunfa of our university attended this grand event.
Participating in the 3rd China-ROK Education Forum is a key step for Sichuan Technology and Business University to implement the national strategy of educational opening-up and deepen international exchanges and cooperation. The forum provided a platform for the university to showcase its educational achievements and built a bridge for educational exchanges between China and the ROK. Sichuan Technology and Business University will continue to uphold the philosophy of openness, inclusiveness, and innovation to contribute to the development of higher education.

Focusing on international higher education, the forum was themed “Strengthening International Cooperation and Promoting Industry-Education Integration”. It included a China-ROK Film Appreciation Week, a China-ROK University Summit, keynote forums, an exchange meeting on innovative practices of industry-education integration, a cooperation signing ceremony, and an art exchange gala for Chinese and Korean university students. More than 100 universities and renowned enterprises from China and the ROK held in-depth discussions on educational philosophy, talent cultivation, academic research, educational technology, and mechanisms for cooperation in student exchange, short-term programs, teacher training, and research projects.
Vice President Chen Chunfa delivered a keynote report
During the forum, Vice President Chen Chunfa delivered a keynote report titled “Comprehensively Advancing High-Level Educational Opening-Up to Boost the University’s Development to a New Level”. He introduced and shared the practices, experience, and achievements of Sichuan Technology and Business University in education, research innovation, and international exchange. He noted that the university has long adhered to the philosophy of open education, actively engaged in international cooperation, and devoted itself to cultivating high-quality talents with a global vision. The university has established sound partnerships with many overseas universities and achieved remarkable results in faculty exchange, student mobility, and talent cultivation. He expressed expectations for further cooperation with universities in the ROK for mutual development. His report received unanimous praise from the participants.

During the forum, Vice President Chen Chunfa also held in-depth talks with multiple universities in the ROK on cooperative education, faculty-student exchange, academic advancement, and short-term study tours.
